The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Sebastián ( Latin Dioecesis Sancti Sebastiani ; Basque Donostiako elizbarrutia ) is in Spain situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Donostia-San Sebastián .
history
The diocese of San Sebastián was on November 2, 1949 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Quo commodius from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Vitoria and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Burgos as a suffragan . On August 11, 1956, the diocese of San Sebastián was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Pamplona y Tudela as a suffragan.
