NGC 7479 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB (s) c in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is an estimated 114 million light years from the Milky Way and is classified as a Starbust and Seyfert-2 galaxy .
The object was discovered on October 19, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
