NGC 3626 = NGC 3632 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 64 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years across. Together with eleven other galaxies, it forms the NGC 3686 group (LGG 237) .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3607 , NGC 3608 , NGC 3639 , IC 685 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on February 15, 1784 and recorded as NGC 3626 . It was discovered again by the same researcher on March 14, 1784 and described as NGC 3632 .
