χ Persei ( Chi Persei , also known as NGC 884 ) is a 6.1 mag bright open star cluster with an angular extent of 30 ′ in the constellation Perseus . Chi Persei is right next to h Persei and can be seen with the naked eye as a faint nebula.
Chi Persei was founded in 130 BC. Discovered by the Greek astronomer Hipparchus .
