The Divizia A 1957/58 was the 20th season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 17, 1957 and ended on July 3, 1958.

Master was first Petrolul Ploieşti . The team secured the title due to the better goal quotient by a 2-1 on the last match day against the then leading Știința Timișoara .

This season the game year was changed from the calendar year back to autumn / spring. The 12 teams played against each other twice on 22 match days. The three last-place teams went into the Divizia B from. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal quotient decided .

    1 Energia Flacăra Ploieşti changed its name to Petrolul Ploieşti.
    2 Energia Petroșani changed its name to Jiul Petroșani.
    3 Dinamo Oraşul Stalin and Steagul roşu Oraşul Stalin merged to Energia Oraşul Stalin; the first team from Dinamo was relocated to Cluj and played from then on under the name Dinamo Cluj.
