Dobrzykowo ( German Dawerwalde ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Barciany (rural community Barten ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Dobrzykowo is a hamlet in the village of Garbno ( Polish Przysiółek wsi Garbno - German Laggarben ) - and is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers southwest of the former district town of Gerdauen (now in Russian Schelesnodoroschny ) or 26 kilometers northwest of today's district metropolis Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The small town, also known as Daverwalde after 1820, was founded before 1400 and was a Vorwerk of Laggarben ( Garbno in Polish ) until 1945 and belonged to the Gerdauen district in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In war-induced Dawerwalde 1945 came with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Dobrzykowo". Today it is a hamlet belonging to Garbno within the rural community of Barciany (Barten) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Before 1945 Dawerwalde was in the parish church Laggarben the united evangelical congregations Laggarben - Dietrichsdorf ( Polish Garbno-Dzietrzychowo ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches and the Catholic Church of St. Bruno in Insterburg (now Russian Tschenjachowsk ) in the then Diocese of Warmia parish. Today Dobrzykowo belongs on the Catholic side to the parish Lwowiec (Löwenstein) in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , on the Protestant side to the parish of Barciany , a branch of the Johanneskirche in Kętrzyn in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Dobrzykowo is located on two side streets that meet in the town: the road from Garbno to Nowy Dwór Momajński (Neuhof-Momehnen) and the road from Solkieniki (Solknick) to Gierkiny (Gerkiehnen) , which already belongs to the municipality of Sępopol (Schippenbeil) . There is no train connection.
