history

The original patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished in the Austrian Empire after the revolutionary years of 1848/49 . They were replaced by the district, regional and higher regional courts, which were planned according to the principles of the Minister of Justice and whose creation was approved by Emperor Franz Joseph I on July 6, 1849 . The Karolinenthal (Karlín) judicial district , which in 1854 consisted of 71 cadastral parishes and belonged to the Prague district , was initially established on the territory of the later judicial district of the Royal Vineyards . As part of the separation of the political from judicial administration made the judicial district of Karlin from 1868 together with the jurisdictions Brandeis (Brandýs) and owl (Jílové) the district Karlin .

1876 Finally, the establishment has been determined the judicial district Royal vineyards, for which the municipalities Braník , Chodov , Hodkovičky , Hostivař (Hostiwar) Hrdlořezy , Krč , Kunratice (Kunratitz) Malešice (Maleschitz) Michle , Nusle , Podol , Štěrboholy , Strašnice (Straschnitz ), Vinohrady I, II (Royal Vineyards I and II), Vršovice (Wrschowitz) and Záběhlice were eliminated from the Karolinenthal judicial district. Together they formed the Royal Vineyards judicial district. Due to the location of the district court in the municipality of Königliche Weinberge II, the judicial district was originally also called the judicial district of Königliche Weinberge II . This change became officially effective on August 1, 1878, with the new district court also taking up its activity on this date. The separation of the royal vineyards judicial district was also reflected in the administration in 1884. On October 1, 1884, the Ministry of the Interior determined the division of the Karolinenthal district into the Karolinenthal and Königliche Weinberge districts, whereby the Königliche Weinberge district was formed from the judicial districts of Königliche Weinberge and Eule. The seat of the district administration was the city of Royal Vineyards.

In 1901, the judicial organization of the area was again greatly changed and the separation of the municipalities Braník , Hodkovičky , Krč , Kunratice (Kunratitz), Michle , Nusle and Podol was decided. The judicial district of Nusle was now formed from them, with the district court taking up its activities on January 1, 1904.

In 1900, 52,504 people lived in the royal vineyards judicial district. In 1910 the judicial district had a population of 77,120 people, of whom 6,911 stated German (9.0%) and 69,091 Czech (89.6%) as the colloquial language. In addition, 1,118 foreigners or foreigners lived in the judicial district.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain signed on September 10, 1919 , the judicial district of the Royal Vineyards came completely to the newly founded Czechoslovakia . In 1922 the then third largest city was incorporated into Prague.
