history
Grützau a Vorwerk and living space within the estate district of Langheim ( Polish Łankiejmy ) in the district of Rastenburg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On February 16, 1914, the Vorwerk Grützau was reclassified from the Langheim manor district to the Wendehnen manor district ( Wandajny in Polish ). In 1820 there were 27 residents in Grützau, in 1885 there were 44 and in 1905 there were still 23 residents.
On September 30, 1928, the rural community Langheim, the manor district Langheim and the manor district Wendehnen merged with the Vorwerk Grützau to form the new rural community Langheim.
In 1945, as a result of the war, the entire southern East Prussia and thus also Grützau were transferred to Poland . Grützau received the Polish form of the name "Gnojewo" and is today a place in the network of the city and rural municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
