Hafenthal is a hamlet in the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) in Bavaria. From 1818 the former wasteland belonged to the Sankt Mang settlement association . This settlement association was reunited with Kempten in 1972.
history
A Hofenthal was mentioned in writing in 1621, followed by a Hoffenthal in 1709. The name of the port Thal explained by the fact that sooner of an estate for the Kempten Hafner land was delivered to the potter's clay. In 1819 there were three properties in Hofenthal with 16 residents who belonged to Leuba's main team . In 1900 the number of properties remained constant, only four fewer people lived there than in the 1819 census. In 1954 there were 14 residents in Hafenthal.
