The Liverpool Hope University is one of three state-recognized universities in Liverpool , England . It was recognized as a university in the United Kingdom in 2005, but the university is much older, two of the three colleges were founded in the 19th century, the oldest in 1844 and the second in 1856, and the third college was not established until the 1960s. Liverpool Hope University is currently the only ecumenical university in Europe . The university's facilities are spread over two different campuses , the main campus is in Childwall. Because of the high employment rate among its graduates , 97.3% in the first year after graduation, the university is considered the most successful in North West England. Students from around 65 countries are registered at the university.
