The annual live radio party hr3 @ night is the largest one-day radio festival in Germany. It was held in Kassel in 2001 and 2002 . In 2005 the event of the Pop & Rock wave of the Hessischer Rundfunk moved to Frankfurt am Main.

The background of the radio party is to make radio tangible. hr3 @ night presents everything that can also be found in the pop wave program. While hr3 broadcasts, presenters and DJs were the focus of the festival in the early days , the move to Frankfurt saw the event relaunch. National and international artists from different genres now shape the event with live music, parties, comedy, theater, readings and shows. Over 50 acts appear in over 20 venues. Visitors can switch between the venues by bus. The “location traffic light” provides information about the waiting times at the individual venues at any time via the homepage or a mobile page for smartphones.

The highlight of hr3 @ night is the hr-BigBand crossover project , in which extraordinary, one-off arrangements are played together with a pop or rock artist.

In 2015 the event will take place for the first time under the name Hr3 @ home, with all stages located on the premises of the Hessischer Rundfunk.
