The winners of the Monte Carlo Rally: Bouffier / Panseri in a Peugeot 207 S2000

The 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge was the sixth season of the IRC . The season began on January 19, 2011 with the Monte Carlo Rally and ended after eleven races on November 5 with the Cyprus Rally . Andreas Mikkelsen won the title.

The calendar originally comprised twelve events. However, the Rali Vinho da Madeira was canceled at short notice in June 2011 because the organizer ran into difficulties with the financing. The rally was not replaced by another rally, so that there were only eleven events on the calendar afterwards.

Ratings

For the 2011 season, a new points system was introduced for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. In 2011, points were awarded to the top ten drivers according to the following FIA standard.

At the last two rallies of the season in Scotland and Cyprus, the points were also multiplied by a coefficient . At the Rally Scotland it was 1.5 and at the Rally Cyprus 2. The winner received 37.5 and 50 points respectively.

  1. At the Cyprus Rally, a driver with a vehicle from a manufacturer who was not registered in the IRC placed 9th. Doros Loucaides therefore moved up in the scoring and was 10th the number of points for the 9th place.
  2. At the Cyprus Rally, a driver with a vehicle from a manufacturer who was not registered in the IRC placed 9th. Charalambos Timotheou therefore moved up in the awarding of points and received the number of points for 10th place as 11th.
  3. At the Sata Rallye Açores, a driver with a vehicle from a manufacturer who was not registered in the IRC placed 10th. Fumio Nutahara therefore moved up in the scoring and was awarded 11th the number of points for 10th place.
  4. At the Prime Yalta Rally, ranks 10 and 11 included drivers with vehicles from manufacturers who were not registered in the IRC. János Puskádi therefore moved up in the point allocation and received the number of points for the 10th place as 12th.

Manufacturer rating

Only the two best-placed drivers with vehicles from the respective manufacturer were taken into account for the manufacturer's ranking and their points were added. The following drivers moved up on the placements of drivers not considered. Only the best seven individual results from each manufacturer were included in the manufacturer's rating.
