history

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Veselí lordship was in 1490 as the property of Mikuláš of Vojslavice. In 1502 Jan von Kunovice gave the goods in Kozogitky to his wife Barbara von Proskau as a morning gift . Jan von Kunovice founded the extensive Ostroh rule in 1511 , to which Kozojídky was added. In the 16th century the village was called Cozogidek or Kozogiedek . After the battle of the White Mountain , the goods of the rebel Jan Bernart von Kunovice were confiscated and sold to Gundaker von Liechtenstein in 1625 . In the hoof register of 1656 25 properties are shown for Kozojídky, four of which were desolate. In 1671 Kozojídky was completely repopulated and consisted of five Hüfnerstellen, eleven Halbhüfner and five cottagers. Two half-hoofers and two cottages were considered to be newly settled at that time. In 1671 the village was known as Kozogideck and in 1720 as Kozogedek . The oldest local seal dates from 1726. The land registers have been kept since 1727. In 1843 the place had 294 inhabitants. At that time there was a distillery in Kozojídky. In 1846 the name forms Kozogedek , Kozogidek and Kozogjdky were in use. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained subservient to Ostroh. The parish and school location was Hroznová Lhota.

After the replacement of patrimonial Kozojídky formed with Žeraviny from 1850 a municipality Žeraviny-Kozojídky in the district administration Hradisch and the judicial district Strážnice . In 1867 the two villages separated and formed their own communities. The following year the village was assigned to the Göding district . In 1872 the place was called Kozoidek and Kozojídek . In 1880 the village had 277 Czech residents and consisted of 47 houses. From 1893 the name forms Kozojídek and Kozojídky existed . In 1911 a village school was inaugurated in Kozojídky. In 1921, 344 people lived in the 80 houses in the village. In 1930 Kozojídky had grown to 84 houses and had 330 inhabitants. In 1950 there were 356 people in the village. Between 1949 and 1960 the community belonged to the Okres Veselí nad Moravou and came back to the Okres Hodonín after its dissolution . Between 1980 and 1990 Kozojídky was incorporated into Hroznová Lhota. The community carries a coat of arms and a banner.
