history

The first written mention of Skoronice took place in 1322 in a document from King John . In 1351 Czenko von Bechina bought the village. In 1359 Janusch von Bechina signed Skoronice as a morning gift from his wife Hisla von Ossow. 20 years later the widow sold the village to Bolka von Sternberg , the three Hufen von Skoronice to the Olomouc monastery of St. Left to Klara. In 1392 Johann von Sternberg gave the monastery of St. Clare another four and a half hooves and the monastery of St. Anna in Brno eight and a half hooves. In the 15th century, the Lords of Kravarn bought Skoronice and added the village to their rule Milotice. After the death of Georg von Krawarn, Skorotice and Milotice fell to his daughters Ludmilla, Kunigunde, Elsbeth and Johanna in 1479, who sold it the following year to Georg, Alexander, Johann and Tas von Oynitz. In 1490 Elsbeth von Oynitz ceded her half of the Milotice estate with the villages of Skoronice and Stavěšice to her brother-in-law Niklas von Zástřizl , who in 1493 also took over the other half from his wife Anna von Oynitz. In 1560 the Zástřizl sold Milotice with all accessories to the brothers Friedrich , Bartholomäus, Johann and Dietrich von Zierotin . At the beginning of the 17th century the village consisted of 27 properties. During the second campaign of the rebellious Transylvanian prince Gábor Bethlen , Skoronice was destroyed in 1623 and remained desolate. Gabriel Count Serényi, who had bought the Milotice estate in 1648, had the village repopulated in 1652. The new residents were Germans from his north Moravian rule Kunewald . The village formed a German- speaking island in Moravian Slovakia , in which Kuhländers dialect was spoken. In 1834 340 people lived in the 65 houses in the village. Kunewald always remained submissive to Milotice until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kunewald / Skoronice formed from 1850 a community in the district administration Gaya . After the Okres Kyjov was abolished, Skoronice was assigned to the Okres Hodonín in 1960. Between 1980 and 1990 Skoronice was incorporated into Vlkoš . In 2000 the village won the national competition Vesnice roku ( Village of the Year ). In Skoronice every year at Whitsun the tradition of the King's Ride ( Jízda králů ) is maintained. To the north of the village there are extensive vineyards that reach as far as Kyjov.
