history

Archaeological finds, of which the oldest can be assigned to the ceramic band culture, prove that the municipality was settled at an early age. Bones are found from the Celtic period.

The origin of today's village goes back to the settlement of Sobolkovici , from which the first written records from the 9th century have come down to us. The village is named after its founder Sobol . In the Middle Ages, Sobolkovici was one of the largest settlements in the Kyjov area. Sobolkovici was first mentioned in a document in 1131 in a register of the Olomouc bishopric about the possession of the castle church Břeclav . At that time the Břeclav church owned two hubs in Sobolkovici .

In the middle of the 14th century, the Dupník family is passed down as the owners of the village. Subsequently, the owners changed frequently, among them were the gentlemen von Boskowitz , von Kunstadt , von Zástřizl , von Ludanitz and von Zierotin . The Vorwerkshof was first mentioned in the Olomouc country table in 1378 , when the families of Zdětín and Dluhoš from Kopenice and Vojkov became owners of the farm. The most important owner of the farm was the baroness Lévová, actually Helena Dluhošová-Lévová.

The festival was extinguished between 1468 and 1471 during the Bohemian-Hungarian War. Of place Klášteříky a Slav monastery, in 1605 the incidence of Transylvanian insurgents was Stephan Bocskai was burned. After the Thirty Years War , Sobůlky was visited by Turkish troops from Grand Vizier Akhmed Kiuprili . During this time, the Turkish hill ( Turecký kopec ) was built in the Binky corridor , above the grave of an Ottoman leader. In 1664 the community was granted the privilege to use a seal. In 1691 Sobůlky became part of the Milotice domain . The first school house was inaugurated in 1794. Until the middle of the 19th century, Sobůlky always remained submissive to Milotice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sobůlky / Sobulek formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district of Gaya . In 1884 the cemetery was laid out. Between 1894 and 1896, the district road from Kyjov to Strážovice was built south of the village. In 1899 the schoolhouse was redesigned according to plans by the builder Gustav Sonevend from Kyjov. In 1947 a kindergarten opened. After the Okres Kyjov was abolished, the place was assigned to the Okres Hodonín in 1960. In 1967 the cemetery was expanded. A new school was built between 1969 and 1973. In the 1970s the population peaked at 1,030. Around 1980 a new kindergarten building was built in the southern part of the village. Sobůlky has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2000.
