history
Heysla was first mentioned in writing in 1131 in a property register of the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik . At that time the goods belonged partly to the castle church in Břeclav and the church in Spytihněv . Since the middle of the 14th century, different noble families took turns as owners of Hýsly. At that time there was a yard and three fish ponds. In 1466 the village became part of the Milotice estate . After the Dolní Moštěnice estate was separated from Milotice in 1572, Hýsly became a subordinate there. The owners were the Counts of Forgách and then from 1684 to 1763 the Peterswaldský von Peterswald. In 1763 Johann von Khuenburg bought the estate, followed by the lords of Loewenfeld from 1784. On July 4, 1826, a large fire destroyed 33 houses. In 1831 31 residents died of the Brechruhr. In 1834 Hiesel consisted of 62 houses and had 297 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained subservient to Unter Moschtienitz.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hýsly / Hiesel formed from 1850 a community in the district administration Gaya . The schoolhouse was inaugurated in 1902. After the Okres Kyjov was abolished, the place was assigned to the Okres Hodonín in 1960. Schooling in Hýsly ceased in 1979.
