List of NATO country codes
The country codes of NATO are in the STANAG 1059 "List of NATO Country Codes" committed. In addition to the codes for actually existing states, codes were also specified for the names of fictitious states commonly used in exercises / maneuvers (e.g. "Rotland") and for the strategic NATO headquarters. These start with X or XX.
As a rule, the 3-digit codes are used in the Bundeswehr .
