The Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2009 was the 8th and final presentation of the award originally named MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica . The main event took place on October 15, 2009 at four different locations: the Espacio Darwin in Buenos Aires , Argentina, the Hipódromo de las Américas in Mexico City , Mexico , the Corferias in Bogotá , Colombia and the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City , United States States . The main event took place in Los Angeles, while the other venues were recorded earlier. There the regional awards were given and there were separate live performances.
René Pérez Joglar , also known as the resident of Calle 13, and the pop singer Nelly Furtado were the moderators of the event.
