Natore ( Bengali : নাটোর) is a district in Rajshahi . The in the capital of the district forms the city of the same name Natore . The total area of ​​the district is 1900.2 km². The district consists of 7 Upazilas . Most of the Natore district consists of lowlands.

Natore is bordered by Naogaon and Bogra Districts to the north, Pabna and Kushtia Districts to the south, Pabna and Sirajganj Districts to the east, and Rajshahi District to the west. The district has 1,706,673 inhabitants (2011 census). The literacy rate is 49.6% of the population. 93.2% of the population are Muslims , 6.1% are Hindus and 0.7% are Christians , Buddhists or others.

The climate is tropical and warm all year round. The annual average temperature of this district varies from a maximum of 37.8 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 11.2 degrees. The annual rainfall is 1862 mm (2011) and the humidity is high all year round.

The economy of the district is dominated by agriculture . According to the 2011 census, 70.6% of the workforce work in agriculture, 24.4% in the service sector (mostly in informal settings) and 5.0% in industry .
