France took part in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris with a delegation of 401 athletes (370 men and 31 women) in 128 competitions in 20 competitions.

The French athletes won 13 gold, 15 silver and 10 bronze medals. The fencer Roger Ducret won the most medals. He was a three-time Olympic champion and also secured two silver medals. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Géo André .
