The tour of the Bangladeshi national cricket team to India in the 1979/80 season took place from November 21, 1979 to February 3, 1980. The international cricket tour was part of the 1979/80 international cricket season and comprised six tests . India won the series 2–0.

prehistory

India previously played a tour against Australia , for Pakistan it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1978/79 season in Pakistan .
