The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to India in the 1986/87 season took place from January 27 to March 17, 1987. The international cricket tour was part of the 1986/87 international cricket season and included five tests and six ODIs . Pakistan won the Test Series 1–0 and the ODI Series 5–1.

prehistory

India previously played a tour against Sri Lanka , Pakistan a four-nation tournament in Australia . The last meeting of the two teams took place in the 1984/85 season in Pakistan .
