Sioux County is a county in the state of North Dakota in the United States . The county seat is Fort Yates . The entire county is part of the Standing Rock Reservation , which also extends over parts of South Dakota.

The county is located in southern North Dakota, bordering South Dakota and has an area of ​​2922 square kilometers, of which 89 square kilometers are water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Morton County , Emmons County , Corson County, South Dakota, Adams County, and Grant County .
