City Archives - Bochum Center for City History

The City Archive - Bochum Center for City History is located on Wittener Strasse in Bochum . It takes over the functions of the municipal archive and the historical museum of Bochum.

The archive holdings "include documents, files and log books, maps and plans, posters and notices, newspapers and printed matter, image and sound carriers, films, collections on various subject areas and various other documents from over 800 years of Bochum's history."

A branch is located in the Gertrudis Center in Wattenscheid . The old premises on Kronenstrasse, with 835 meters of files, served as one of 19 asylum archives for the holdings of the Cologne City Archives .

Since March 2014 the archive has been listed in the Route of Industrial Culture , Themed Route Bochum .
