The University of Abertay Dundee (English: University of Abertay Dundee ), usually simply called Abertay University , is the smallest university in Dundee , Scotland . It was founded in 1994 from the Dundee College of Technology, which dates back to 1888.

There are five faculties: The Institute of Arts, Media and Computer Games (AMG), The School of Computing and Engineering Systems (CES), The School of Contemporary Sciences (SCS), The Dundee Business School (DBS) and the School of Social & Health Sciences (SHS). Abertay is best known for the IT area. It was the first university in the world to offer a degree in computer games in 1997.
