The 1st League 2003/04 was the 70th season of the highest Polish men's soccer division since it was founded in 1927. The season began on August 8, 2003 and ended on June 11, 2004 and a total of fourteen clubs took part 2003/04 season. The number of teams has been reduced from 16 to 14 teams this season.
The defending champion was Wisła Kraków , which won the title again this year. Newcomers from the second Polish division were Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki , Górnik Łęczna and Górnik Polkowice .
