Adelharz is a district of the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) .

The village was mentioned in 1394 as zem Madelharts . The place appears regularly under its current place name Adelharz from 1447. For the first mention and for the year 1527 the place was a stiftkemptisches Bestandsgut. In 1593 two goods have come down to us.

In 1818 Adelharz was added to the rural community of Sankt Lorenz , but was reclassified to the city of Kempten on October 1, 1934 and subsequently also belongs to the district of Kempten.
