Równina Górna ( German  Adlig Ober Plehnen , also: Ober Plehnen ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural community Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Równina Górna is east of the Guber in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 13 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ). 700 meters further west is the neighboring town of Równina Dolna ([nobleman] Unter Plehnen) .

history

The 1785 Upper Plöhnen and after 1871 Noble Upper Plehnen called small village consisted mainly of a large estate. He belonged to the district of Paaris ( Polish Parys ) in the district of Rastenburg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On September 30, 1928, the new rural community Plehnen was formed from the manor districts of Adlig Ober Plehnen, Adlig Unter Plehnen ( Równina Dolna in Polish ) and Sdunkeim ( Saduny ) . On May 23, 1929 it was reclassified from the Paaris district to the Dönhofstädt district ( Drogosze in Polish ) (without the shadow suburb - Polish: Szaty, no longer existing) .

1945 came nobleman upper Plehnen in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Równina Górna". Today it is a small settlement (in Polish Osada ) in the network of the urban and rural community of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Adlig Ober Plehnen was parish in the Evangelical Church of Lamgarben ( Garbno in Polish ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Korschen ( Korsze ) in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Równina Górna belongs on the Catholic side to the Garbno parish in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and on the Protestant side to the parish in Kętrzyn in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Good Ober Plehnen

Hans-Jørgen Rasmussen-Bonne (1848–1913), who immigrated to East Prussia from Denmark in 1872, was the owner of the 414 hectare Ober Plehnen estate from 1886 to 1911, and the Hahlweg family in the 1920s . Today the facilities, which are largely in good shape, are privately owned. The country house in late classicist style from the second half of the 19th century is single-storey with a quarter storey and has a large glass veranda. The old manor park still has a species-rich tree population.

traffic

Równina Górna is on a side street that connects the two voivodship streets DW 590 and DW 592 (former German Reichsstraße 135 ) at Wilkowo Wielkie (Groß Wolfsdorf) and Garbno (Lamgarben) . A side road coming from Warnikajmy (Warnikeim) ends in Równina Górna.

There is no connection to rail traffic .
