All I've Got to Do ( english All I gotta do ) is a song by British band The Beatles , in 1963 on their second album With the Beatles was released. It was composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and published under the author's name Lennon / McCartney .

John Lennon and Paul McCartney composed All I've Got to Do , but it is mostly based on Lennon's musical ideas. All I've Got to Do was influenced by the Smokey Robinson song You Can Depend On Me . The Beatles did not include All I've Got to Do in their live repertoire.

All I've Got to Do was recorded on September 11, 1963 in London's Abbey Road Studios with producer George Martin . Norman Smith was the sound engineer for the recordings. The band recorded a total of 14 takes , with eight takes of the song not being played to the end.

The song was mixed in mono on September 30, 1963 and in stereo on October 29 .

On November 12, 1963 in Germany the first Beatles album was released With the Beatles on the All I've Got to Do is included. In Great Britain the album was released on November 22, 1963, there it was the second Beatles album.

In the USA, All I've Got to Do was featured on their second album Meet the Beatles! published on January 20, 1964.

In the USA, the record company Capitol Records pressed the jukebox EP Meet The Beatles, on which the song All I've Got to Do is also included.
