Avrainville is located about 33 kilometers south of Paris in the Hurepoix countryside . Avrainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Arpajon in the north, La Norville in the north and northeast, Guibeville in the east and northeast, Cheptainville in the east and southeast, Lardy in the south and southeast, Torfou in the south, Boissy-sous-Saint-Yon in the west and southwest and Égly in the northwest.
