Beaucourt-en-Santerre ( Picard : Boucourt-in-Santerre) is a northern French municipality with 176 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier , is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Noye and belongs to the canton of Moreuil .

geography

The municipality in the Santerre countryside is located north of the generously developed D934 département road (former Route nationale 334 ) from Amiens to Noyon, around 8 km east-northeast of Moreuil on the D28 département road.

history

A Roman vicus was located between Beaucourt, Mézières-en-Santerre and Fresnoy-en-Chaussée .

The community, devastated in several battles during the First World War , received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
