Berteaucourt-lès-Thennes ( Picard : Bérteucourt-Teinne) is a northern French municipality with 437 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier , is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Noye and belongs to the canton of Moreuil .
geography
Berteaucourt is located on the right (northern) bank of the Luce , which separates the municipality from Thennes , which is adjacent to the south , at its confluence with the Avre , and on the D935 (former Route nationale 35 ).
history
The history of Berteaucourt is closely linked to that of Thennes, to whose parish it has always belonged. Thennes had been dependent on Corbie Abbey since 780 . Berteaucourt was the seat of a lordship until the French Revolution of the De Berteaucourt family. During the First World War , the castle and largely the community were destroyed, but rebuilt. The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award . In 1956, Berteaucourt was renamed Berteaucourt-lès-Thennes.
