Chaussoy-Epagny ( Picard : L'Queuchoy-Épagny) is a northern French municipality with 581 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montidider , is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Noye and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Noye .
geography
The municipality is mainly located on the left bank (west) of the Noye and borders on the municipality of Berny sur-Noye of Ailly-sur-Noye . The distance from Chaussoy to Ailly is 4.5 km. The community is made up of the formerly independent communities Chaussoy, Epagny and Hainneville, Epagny and Hainneville are located directly on the Noye, Chaussoy a little away from this on the D193 departmental road. A street in the system of Chaussée Brunehaut can be found a little west of Chaussoy. The Paris – Lille line runs through the part of Hainneville east of the Noye.
history
The church was built near an old leper house and is therefore isolated between the villages. Chaussoy is known as Saucois in 1239.
