La Faloise ( Picard : Faloèse) is a northern French municipality with 231 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier , is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Noye and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Noye .
geography
The municipality is located in the Noye valley , which is crossed by the D109 departmental road and crosses in the center of the village on the left bank with the D193 departmental road, around 8 km south of Ailly-sur-Noye and 9 km from Breteuil in the Oise department . To the west, the municipality is bounded by the course of an earlier road in the Chaussée Brunehaut system . The Paris – Lille railway runs through the part of the municipality to the east of the Noye, and has a stop here. The Méridienne verte runs through La Faloise .
history
The community developed around a castle from the 13th century. In the middle of the 16th century the rule came to the House of Bourbon-Condé . Part of the population fell victim to the plague in 1668. After the French Revolution , La Faloise became famous for the production of nails. In 1940 the church was burned down.
