Chirmont is a northern French municipality with 119 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier , is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Noye and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Noye .

geography

The municipality is bounded to the west by the Noye valley , through which the Paris – Lille railway line also runs (stop in La Faloise ). Départementsstraße D14 forms the south-eastern boundary, while D188 runs through the town center in a north-south direction. There is a connection with Epagny (municipality of Chaussoy-Epagny ) by a bridge over the Noye. Ferme de Courcelles is located above the river valley. There are several wind turbines in the northeast corner of the municipality. The distance to Ailly-sur-Noye in the north is around 6.5 km.

history

Chirmont Church was demolished in 1904; in their place there is a belfry.

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
