Tilloloy ( Picard : Tieuloy) is a northern French municipality with 353 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier , is part of the Communauté de communes du Grand Roye and belongs to the canton of Roye .

geography

The municipality in the Santerre countryside is around 6.5 km south of Roye on the D1017 departmental road (formerly Route nationale 17 ) and the D133 departmental road. The A1 autoroute and the LGV Nord high-speed railway line limit the municipality to the east towards Beuvraignes .

Notre-Dame de Lorette
  • The castle was the ancestral seat of Antoine Maximilien de Belleforière , marquis de Soyécourt, who was sentenced to death for high treason in 1636 after the Corbie fortress was handed over to the Spaniards, but was able to escape to England. The castle was destroyed on the orders of the king. After the rehabilitation of de Belleforière in 1643, he was compensated by the king and was able to have the castle rebuilt with an extensive park. It is owned by Charlotte d'Andigné and is open to interested visitors once a year.

Burned out during the First World War, it has been classified as a Monument historique since 1994 ( Base Mérimée PA00116284).
