Blanquefort is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

Blanquefort is located northwest of Bordeaux and is crossed by the Jalle River. It is located in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux and belongs to the canton of Les Portes du Médoc . Blanquefort has 15,833 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Lake and grotto of the Parc de Majolan
  • The Saint-Martin church, was built 1806–1816; the tower burned down after a lightning strike in 1823 and was restored in 1827.
  • The Saint-Joseph church in the Caychac parish was built in 1867/68.
