Castelluccio Superiore (in the local dialect: Castiddr ) is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 749 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata .

geography

The municipality is located about 71.5 kilometers south-southeast of Potenza in the Pollino National Park , belongs to the Comunità montana Lagonegrese and borders directly on the province of Cosenza ( Calabria ). The former Strada statale 19 delle Calabrie (now a provincial road) leads through the municipality from Battipaglia to Lagonegro . Neighboring municipalities are Castelluccio Inferiore , Laino Borgo , Latronico and Lauria .
