Noepoli is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 787 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata . The municipality is located about 76 kilometers southeast of Potenza in the Pollino am Sinni National Park , belongs to the Comunità montana Val Sarmento and borders directly on the province of Matera .

history

The original settlement was probably built in the 8th or 7th century BC. Until 1863 the settlement was called Noja and was then renamed to its current name.
