Tito is a southern Italian bailiwick ( comune ) with 7283 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata . The municipality is located about 12 kilometers west-southwest of Potenza . The municipality is part of the Comunità montana Melandro .

history

With the destruction of the place Satriano, the ancient Satrianum, in the early 15th century, Tito's population increased considerably.

With the expressway, the Raccordo Autostradale 5 from Sicignano degli Alburni ( Autostrada A3 ) to Potenza, and the Strada Statale 95 di Brienza , the municipality is well connected to the Italian transport network. The Titos train station is a bit outside on the Battipaglia – Potenza – Metaponto railway line .
