Genzano di Lucania (in the local dialect: Inzan ) is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5566 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata . The municipality is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Potenza and borders directly on the province of Matera and the metropolitan city of Bari ( Apulia ). Genzano di Lucania is part of the Comunità Montana Alto Bradano . The Bradano flows through the municipality . To the east is the Diga del Basentello , a small lake.
