San Constantino Albanese (in Arbëresh , IPA : [ar'bəreʃ] : Shën Kostandini Arbëreshë ) is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata with about 643 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The municipality is located about 79 kilometers south-southeast of Potenza in the Pollino National Park between two tributaries of the Sinni , belongs to the Comunità montana Val Sarmento and is one of the many historical Albanian settlements of the Arbëresh in southern Italy .
San Constantino Albanese has four factions : Conserva, Farneta, Martorino and Venticalia.
history
The place was founded in 1534 by Albanian refugees. Even today the place belongs to the Italo-Albanian language island .
