Tramutola is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2992 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata . The municipality is located about 35.5 kilometers south of Potenza and borders directly on the province of Salerno . Tramutola is part of the Comunità Montana Alto Agri . The composer and music teacher Vincenzo Ferroni (1858–1934) was born here.
