Ruvo del Monte is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1035 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Potenza in Basilicata . The municipality is located about 32 kilometers northwest of Potenza and borders directly on the province of Avellino ( Campania ). The north of the municipality is bounded by the Ofanto .

The Rapone-Ruvo-San Fele stop is many kilometers north of the town on the Avellino-Rocchetta Sant'Antonio railway line, which is no longer used for passenger traffic .
