Neighboring communities of Wittes are Blaringhem (ndl .: Blaringem ) in the north, Boëseghem (ndl .: Boezegem ) in the east, Aire-sur-la-Lys (ndl .: Arien aan de Lys ) in the south and Roquetoire (ndl .: Rokesdorn ) in the West. In 1821, the neighboring town of Cohem ( Dutch : Cogem ) was incorporated.
