The Divizia A 1966/67 was the 29th season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 21, 1966 and ended on June 11, 1967 . Games were closed from the beginning of December to the end of February ( winter break ).
Champion was Rapid Bucharest for the first time .

The 14 teams played against each other twice on 26 match days. The two last-placed teams got into the Divizia B from. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal difference decided .
