The three-cushion world championship for national teams in 1999 was the 13th edition of this tournament, which has been held annually since 1981 in the three- cushion version of billiards . It took place from February 25 to 28, 1999 in Viersen .

Tournament commentary

Germany A won against Portugal in the game for 3rd place. The Netherlands won the final against Sweden with one win per team with the closest of all results. Only one point more for the Netherlands decided the World Cup. The outstanding player of the tournament was Torbjörn Blomdahl , the vice-world champion Sweden.

Game mode

For the first time, 24 teams took part in the tournament. Each team consisted of two players. The game was played in eight groups of three from A to H. The eight group winners made it to the quarter-finals. The 3rd place was played out. In the group games, two winning sets (best of 3) and three winning sets (best of 5) from the quarter-finals onwards.
