The three-cushion world championship for national teams in 1996 was the 10th edition of this tournament, which has been held annually since 1981 in the three- cushion billiard variant . It took place from February 1st to 4th, 1996 in Viersen .

Game mode

12 teams took part in the tournament. Each team consisted of two players. The game was played in 4 groups. In the groups, each player played against both opponents. The four group winners reached the semifinals.

The whole tournament was played with 2 winning sets. Denmark defends title. Spain was unbeaten in the tournament and only lost the semi-finals with 5: 7 game points. The BWA professionals were not allowed to participate in the World Cup.

In the event of a tie, the following shall apply:
