Ekstraklasa 2005/06

The Orange Ekstraklasa 2006/07 was the 73rd edition of the Polish top division in football . The season began on July 28, 2006 and ended on May 26, 2007. Zagłębie Lubin was Polish champion for the second time.

16 teams played against each other twice over a total of 30 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. Two clubs were promoted from the first division in 2005/06: ŁKS Łódź , Widzew Łódź which replaced the relegated Polonia Warsaw . Lech Posen , relegated last season, merged with Amica Wronki and thus kept the league place in the Ekstraklasa.

Pogoń Szczecin was the first to be relegated , before Wisła Płock was also relegated to the lower house on the last match day. The clubs Arka Gdynia and Górnik Łęczna were sentenced to relegation through corruption scandals .
