The 2013/14 season of the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar was the 36th season of the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar , which operated under the name Oberliga Südwest until 2012 , and the sixth as the fifth-highest division in Germany under the leadership of football -Regional Association Southwest .

The FK Pirmasens secured at 33. Match the championship and promotion to the Regionalliga Southwest . Runner-up FSV Salmrohr qualified for the promotion games in the regional league, but was defeated by FC Nöttingen and thus remained in the league.

Promotion and relegation regulation

  • Promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest
The champion is athletically qualified for promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest . The second can qualify in a relegation. If the champion or runner-up is not eligible for promotion, the next-placed teams move up, with at least fourth place in the table for direct promotion and at least fifth for relegation.
  • Relegation to the association leagues
Two to a maximum of five clubs must be relegated.

Promotion round to the league

The last promotion place played the three runners-up of the association leagues Rhineland, Saarland and Southwest. The draw showed that the applicant from the Saarland first played against the representative from the Rhineland. In the second game, the loser of the first game faces the representative of the Southwest German Football Association. In the third game, the winner of the first game plays against the representative of the Southwest German Football Association. In the event of a tie in the first game, the Rhineland representative must play the second game.
